Jane Austen's beautiful novel about the two formidable Dashwood sisters is brought stunningly to the stage by Tread the Boards Theatre Company. Eleanor and Marianne are brought into the pangs of regency society with a suitable match being sought for them after a menial dowry is granted by their brother and his po-faced wife, bringing adventure, heartache, romance and ultimately bringing the sisters closer together.
A sophisticated rom-com that retains the wit of the source material and delivers an emotional kicker of a denouement. Utterly charming *****' William Stafford, Bum on a Seat Reviews
