FUNDRAISING TARGET SMASHED!

After several break-ins in early 2022, £200 was stolen along with

the box office laptop, printer and speaker. The fire doors were

forcibly knocked down using a fire extinguisher and the box office

signage was badly damaged resulting in the theatre being unable

to use the materials.

A wonderful collection of students, formerly taught by our Artistic

Director John-Robert Partridge at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire,

led the fundraising campaign after hearing about the atrocities. They

set-up a Go Fund Me page and encouraged small donations from

students, performers, creatives and supporters to reach the required amount to repair or replace the amount needed.

Fundraising is always a challenge and particularly at the moment but the efforts of tireless supporters has led to an incredible £1,289.16 being raised to go towards repair costs of the box office signage and the stolen hardware, smashing the target of £1000. This allows for associated costs of upgrading and new replacement technology. The whole team at Tread the Boards wishes to say a huge thank you is due to those who donated and who took the time to help gather funds - we are overwhelmed and flattered by your generosity.

We are currently working with the talent at 'Rocket Visual Solutions Ltd' to design and make the new signage and look forward to having it up later in 2022!
