Professor Higgins decides to take on the ill-advised bet that he can transform a 'common' flower-girl into the likes of a Duchess with training and elocution lessons.
Whether or not he can make Elizah Doolittle presentable within society or whether there is more to learn about life, love and caring than this simple experiment suggests, is beautifully explored in George Bernard Shaw's classic, comedy of manners.
COVID19 precautions: Our seating capacity has been reduced and is unallocated for the present, in order to allow space between groups when seated. We would appreciate it if you wore a mask when moving around the building but masks are not required while seated in the theatre.

Additional Information: Emmy has just completed her training at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. During her training her roles included The Sweet Science of Bruising, The Haystack and Love for Love. She was also the voice of Lady Swinley for ITV’s coverage of Royal Ascot in 2021. She excited to be making her debut performance with Tread The Boards

Additional Credits: He is a regular performer with Victorian Gothic theatre company Don’t Go Into The Cellar! His other stage work includes productions with Cheltenham Everyman, Birmingham Rep, Here To There, FRED, Redhead Reach, Blue Orange Arts, Pattern 23 and Shoebox. He has appeared in Doctors (BBC1), Cold Feet (ITV), The Archers (BBC Radio 4) and The Wolf In The Water (BBC Radio 3), and since 2012 has been the voice of Professor Van Ark in Six To Start’s long-running smartphone game/audio drama/fitness app Zombies, Run!
Dawn Bush - Mrs Pearce/Mrs Eynsford-Hill
Acting Credits with TTB: Dawn Bush is delighted to be returning to The Attic in not one, but two of her favourite plays. She has previously appeared with Tread the Boards in Pygmalion in 2019, and also Richard III, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Pride and Prejudice and Henry V.
Additional Credits: The Ladykillers and Arrivals and Departures for Here to There; Jane Eyre, Sense and Sensibility (both of which were her own adaptations for the stage) Robin Hood, A Woman of No Importance, The Importance of Being Earnest, all for Dot Productions. Dawn has also appeared on screen in the Martin Lewis Money Show and The One Show; Perspective Interactive for Sky Arts Educational; a couple of commercials and a few roles in short films. Her second book, A Feast of Tales, Gently Twisted, is due to be released in November.

Additional Information: Lesley trained at LAMDA and has worked in the theatre both as a performer and teacher for over 20 years.
She has taught acting at many institutions, schools and universities including The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire of Acting and at Stratford Upon Avon College where she collaborated with the RSC to develop a course for gifted and talented 14 year olds.

Additional Information: William is pleased to be reprising his role as Doolittle in this production of Pygmalion. His most recent TV work has been as Davey Willows on Doctors (BBC). Also, the part of Sidney in a new series for Sky, Funny Women with Gemma Arterton airing later this year. His theatre work includes Clarence in Richard III for director Nikolai Foster at The Curve Theatre in Leicester. Previous rep. seasons have included The Theatre Royal, Northampton; The Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham; Lyceum Theatre, Crewe; Devonshire Park Theatre, Eastbourne. National Tours and West End productions of A Coat of Varnish and Beethoven's Tenth. At The Blue Orange Theatre, Birmingham in Entertaining Mr Sloane as Eddie and Dial M for Murder as Inspector Hubbard. Other TV highlights have included, Phil in The Firm alongside Gary Oldman. He was heard on BBC Radio in The Abridge Chronicles - an Archers Special. Married with two grown-up children, born and bread in Birmingham, he is a happier man now Aston Villa have maintained their place in football's premier league.
